The National Institute for Agricultural and Food Research and Technology (INIA-CSIC) has been dealing with the consequences of a ransomware cyberattack for two weeks, which has left researchers without internet or access to the internal network. Specifically, the attack affected a limited number of servers and workstations and was confined to the organization’s headquarters, according to sources from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).
