On Monday, October 28, the further education centre was targeted, causing issues with the IT network and access to its systems.
The college has said that they are dealing with the situation and are communicating with both staff and students – after concerns arose regarding potential data breaches.
A spokesperson for Blackburn College said: “We did receive an IT incident and cyber interference, but the college continues to function, and lessons are ongoing.
