A Houston vocational college is accused in a class-action lawsuit of failing to protect students and employees from a “massive and preventable data breach” in 2025.
Former and current students and employees of the College of Healthcare Professions, a vocational school headquartered in Houston with campuses across the city and state, filed a consolidated class action petition against the college July 10. The 91-page lawsuit comes after several groups of students and employees filed separate lawsuits against the college in recent months. Empowerment Schools Healthcare Ltd., the parent company of the college, is also named in the lawsuit.
